Light Grey Micro Filler Primer
Our new micro-filler primer. Fine texture and excellent application properties
How to use it?
Prepare
Prepare the surface the usual way; Sand mold lines, flashing, scribe the panel lines and sant all the surface with #600 grit sanding sponge.
Don't worry if you see sanding lines. As it's a microfiller primer, you will cover those lines.
Prime
Our primer is ready to airbrush.
Just lay very fine criss-cross coats and let 10 to 15 minutes in between. 3 or 4 coats will be enough.
This above is really important to avoid cracks on the painted surface.
Air pressure should be around 1.5 - 2 bar (20 - 30 psi).
Be careful, don't flood with the primer. It will take a longer time to dry and it won't look good.
Retouch
Check that each part and crevice has been correctly primed.
Look for any unremoved mold lines or areas with orange peel or irregular surface.
Put more primer if you had to make any corrections.
Let dry
Our primer will be dust-dry in 5 minutes, touch-dry in 15 minutes and completely dry in 30 to 40 minutes time.
Anyhow, we recommend you to let dry overnight. This way, you will avoid any inconvenience during painting
Paint
And, finally, the best part has come! Painting.
You can paint on this primer with any kind of paint, acrylics, enamels or lacquers , either one or two components.
We recommend you to apply thin layers, no flooding, so you won't damage any layers underneath.
The fine surface left by our primer, as it's a microfiller primer, will get an impecable painted surface.
